YAMAZAKI MAZAK SINGAPORE has completed the construction of a new Technology Center and a factory expansion, and held a Grand Opening ceremony on 19 March 2014 in Singapore. About 300 guests were invited to their Grand Opening ceremony, including Mr Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Singapore Economic Development Board, the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, as well as guests from South East Asia and Japan. After the ceremony, the attendees were invited on a tour of the new center and the factory. At the new Technology Center, a total of 14 machines are exhibited (10 units of Japan made machines, 4 units of Singapore made machines; comprised of CNC turning centers, machining centers, multi tasking machines) as well as sample work pieces of various industries. In addition to the above, the “South East Asia Technology Center” also consists of an auditorium, Online Service Support Center, maintenance training center and application training room. All of these are for providing customer the best solution, as well as a high level of service, application support and training. The Opening private show will be held on March 27–28.
